...the teaching practice of Lucy Lomax, in Annapolis, MD. Lucy is a an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500. Having practiced yoga in the 70's and 80’s, Lucy began seriously practicing and studying yoga in 1998 and teaching yoga in 1999. 

As Lucy continued to devote more of her life to yoga study and teaching, she found herself naturally moving further from her connection to the business world. In March 2003, Lucy retired early as an assistant director at the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) with over 32-year years as a public financial policy analyst (she has a BS in Organizational Development and a Masters degree in Public Financial Management); she moved wholeheartedly into her career as a yoga teacher. From early studies to her current practices, Lucy continues to study yoga methods that are alignment-based and therapeutically oriented.

Ever the student, Lucy’s continuing studies focus on exploring practical applications and integration of therapeutic yoga with Western medical approaches to healing. Lucy teaches classes, workshops, retreats, teacher trainings, and  advanced yoga study programs in the DC-MD Metropolitan area. Increasingly, she is working more one-on-one and in small groups to help students apply yoga principles to develop yoga practices specific to their individual health and lifestyle concerns.

These days, Lucy’s mantras are threefold --
        If it isn’t fun why do it?
                To live fully, let go of anything that doesn’t serve the heart.
                            Stand in your truth.

When not doing or teaching yoga, Lucy enjoys sitting
on her deck watching the tide ebb and flow, or in front of her fireplace knitting.
Oh, and add to that tranquility a fragrant cup of Darjeeling and a square or two of
dark chocolate and the whole world is truly lighter!
